Cures too quickly

Overall I think it’s a good game and fun to play. However it seems the Cure process is ridiculously unrealistic. I can get the disease to spread and infect the entire globe and cause all sorts of travel bans and start governments to break down. Yet somehow the scientist working on a cure can keep flying around and function at normal speed then develop enough doses and distribute them to cure billions of people within a month to quickly eradicate my disease that has wiped out over half the words population.
